I've been subscribing to the RSS feed for Seth Godin's blog for about a month now. I'm reading his posts about 80% of the time. It's now become the content medium I read the most.
Why? Because it's flat out good reading. As a business owner that provides business coaching, marketing consulting, sales training and public speaking coaching services I find that many of Seth's posts speak to me. Loudly. I'm planning on requiring my clients in 2010 to subscribe as part of the agreement to work with me.
We regularly need our thoughts provoked and that's what Seth does really well – every day. I just recently listened to the audiobook of Purple Cow and that was right in line with the blog – insightful, educational, and thought-provoking. I highly recommend the book.
The world is rapidly changing for business owners. It's conversations, darn good free education and remarkable products and services that engage people now – not one-way advertising, no education and just pretty good offerings. We need to get that and be a part of the change. Reading blogs like Seth's is a good way to get on board.
